Faery World Magazine is featuring my inspiring faery costume designs in their Jan-June (biannual) issue… and I’m on the cover! I wrote an article titled “Embodying Your Magical Self” regarding how I create my work and being an all-round fantasy geek.
In early December, I had the opportunity to attend the Gamer’s United holiday party, an event aimed to help raise funds so kids stuck in hospital beds can enjoy video games while they recoup. A fabulous cause!
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to create my own panel at LA’s first Comikaze Expo (@ComikazeExpo). It was an incredible experience, and one that deserves a bit of recognition… not to mention the powerhouse of ladies who made it a success!
Along with myself (representing Think Hero and Fight Class), the panel included: Leah Cevoli (Robot Chicken), Stephanie Thorpe (ElfQuest), Crix Lee (GirlGamer.com), Helenna Santos Levy (American Reunion) and Jessica Mills (Awkward Embraces). Moderated by voice-over master Spike Spencer.
You guys know that I love nothing more than social events jam packed with other geeks. Throw in a good cause… even better!
Last week I attended the 4th Annual Halloween Charity Screening of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and The Guild and it did not disappoint! From the moment I walked in the door, the event’s producer, Steve, and all of the Whedonopolis volunteers made it an experience to remember.

A geek’s dream come true! I began producing and hosting my own vlog called Outta This World: The Art of Sci-fi & Fantasy back in May. What started out as a pet project fueled by my passion and love of books, designing elaborate costumes, creating art and all sorts of other nerdy stuff, has tuned into a nation-wide phenomenon with quite the fan following.
The short documentary titled Faerieworlds: The Experience, an episode I created for my self-produced and hosted show called Outta This World: The Art of Sci-fi-and Fantasy, has been featured by some of the most renowned folk in the mystic community. From a prominent spot on the Faerieworlds event main page to posts on Into the Mythic, creators of the award-winning film Mythic Journeys; Elvenworld, captured by Elizabeth Saenz, spiritual guru and author of The Expanded Gateway; Squidoo and more.
